Decision time for the Democratic Party: Barack Obama is the candidate to defeat John McCain!

It’s become more and more apparent that the Democrats are not coming to this website. The Republicans have, as they took our advise in choosing the winning Presidential Candidate as John McCain prepares to begin his Presidential Campaign, while the Democrats are heading into the murky waters of a brokered convention! The 2008 Presidential Election was the Democrats to loose, and they are making great headway in that direction. A few months ago, the very thought that Democrats could become underdogs in the 2008 Election seemed impossible. The polarization of the two political camps could open the door for a McCain victory in November.

After all the votes have been counted and the delegates tallied, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are tied, or nearly tied, depending whose numbers you use. Looking ahead to the next round of Primaries and into next month, the Democrats will have no candidate going into the National Democratic Convention, held in Denver on August 25th. As the Republican Party now has the initiative, with John McCain as their probable candidate, the Democratic Party now has the one candidate they didn’t want to face in a General Election. However, all is not lost for the Democrats, providing they make the right decision. That decision is Barack Obama! If the election was held today, all of the polls, with the exception of NPR have Barack Obama defeating John McCain for the Presidency in 2008. On the other hand, all but one, CNN, has McCain defeating Hillary Clinton. The polls are only a trend and can change, or be totally off base, but they present a glimpse as to how the electorate feels regarding the candidates. It’s time to fish or cut bait! It’s time to nominate the candidate who can not only win the election, but to try to repair the damage done to this nation by the corrupt and incompetent Bush Administration! It’s time to back Barack Obama as the Democratic Candidate...and here’s the reason why!

i really do care who is the

i really do care who is the nominee. obama is a good, intelligent man. i would hate to see the ravages of him after the gopee-rove dirty trick team finishes with him. all of hillary's linen is washed and hanging on the line. i just think she knows "how to play" politics and he has no clue as to the give and take and dirty dealings. but as you say, NO GOP or we are all doomed. if politics was fair, we would have president biden. c.d.mck

hillary shouldn't back off!

hillary shouldn't back off! make him earn it like any other american. it is soo close that either one could win. what if we find ourselves with an islamic fundamentalist either in the oval office or around it? could happen. we didn't see the sociopath coming either. he is too young and has no real experience and it is not his TURN! c.d.mckenna ( what is this a beauty contest, still?)

I fully agree that this

I fully agree that this Democratic Primary Campaign should run its course until the last vote is counted, whether it’s from Puerto Rico, Florida or Michigan. The contest is too close to even consider any other action and if any was taken, you could never reconcile the two camps into a cohesive Presidential Campaign. However, I do take umbrage at calling Barack Obama an Islamic Fundamentalist! That’s like a misogynist statement that Clinton should “know her place and stay at home in the kitchen, like any other woman!” As for his age, if elected, Obama would be 47 years old. John F. Kennedy was 43, when elected President in 1960. One of Obama’s biggest problems is inexperience, but you can say the same for “numb nuts” presently living at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. With Obama, you get inexperience, with brains! As for his TURN, Politics is not a merry-go-round, although it acts like one at times. If it was anyone’s turn, we should be talking about John Edwards. Life, unfortunately, is not fair and as for Politics…..forget it! When the dust settles, either after the Primaries or the Convention in Denver, the Democrats will have their candidate. Most importantly, he, or she had better win or we’ll all be in the crapper for the next four years. As McCain and the Republicans are making strides in their National Campaign, I’m voting for either one and I don’t care who it is!
